Okay, first off, it says in my livejournal profile NOT to promote communities in my private journal. (I have a public journal that I allow people to promote in as long as it's not a stupid rating community). Well, smudgedredroses decides to post her lame rating community. So, I go to the community and see that smudgedredroses has post in over 100+ private journals and many people are getting pissed. So I reply at the community saying not to promote in my journal because it is a private journal and I don't want it to be flooded with crap. He/she replies saying that it only takes me two seconds to delete it. I like those two seconds of my life... I don't want to waste it on going through my entries to find my Public entry that says "PRIVATE JOURNAL" and having to delete crap. Ok, I would have left it at that. However, he/she goes and promotes in a hundred more journals! And more people complain.
This is the link to the community: http://www.livejournal.com/community/x3___hawtness/
smudgedredroses then makes a post saying how he/she is sorry for being annoying with the promoting and he/she will leave if the people in the community want them to (how lame). That's nice, cool. HOWEVER, their "responsible" mod gets mad saying this:
people if they dont like spam in their LJs then they should put something up that says so.
all of those idiots have been banned. so its not you."
Excuse me? I would reply saying something along the lines of... LOOK AT MY USER INFO! It says do not promote! But, I can't because they banned me and deleted my post where I complained about how their community just spams people's journals with promos. You can find that thread here: http://www.livejournal.com/community/x3___hawtness/17623.html
I think it's pretty lame how this community promotes spamming people's journals with ads for their journal when people's user info say DON'T PROMOTE! Apparently, they get "points" for their lame advertisements.
CONCLUSION: http://www.livejournal.com/community/x3___hawtness/ is a stupid community that is immature and won't admit that they did something wrong and find the victims of spam as the "bad people." As for smudgedredroses, yeah his/her promoting was annoying. At least he/she said sorry, but let's hope that community doesn't rub off their stupidity on him/her.
